Job summary

Chimes District of Columbia. is seeking a Floor Technician to perform daily cleaning and floor maintenance across assigned areas. You will sweep, mop, vacuum, and operate floor machines, ensuring contracts and safety requirements are met.

The role requires ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a Saturday-Sunday shift. Training on floor finishes and equipment is preferred, with room for growth within the facilities team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of Floor Technician experience preferred.
• Knowledge of floor finishes, applications, and removals.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and maintain all floor surfaces as specified by contract.
• Sweep, dust mop, and damp mop floors; use wet vacs and vacuums for carpets and tile.
• Strip, seal, wax, burnish, and buff floors; clean carpets as required.
• Follow safety rules and procedures when using equipment.
• Pass and comply with all building and security requirements.
