Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. in Mount Vernon, Indiana is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor (FLM) for the weekend shift.

You will provide leadership on the shop floor, ensure safety and quality, and clearly communicate expectations to welders and production techs while coordinating with engineering to optimize welding productivity. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 2 years of direct supervisory manufacturing experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of direct supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in basic computer tools (Word, Excel, timekeeping systems).

Responsibilities

• Provide visible floor leadership and administrative oversight.
• Communicate job expectations and performance to welders and production techs.
• Manage employee performance and attendance, safety, and quality compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering to improve processes and productivity.
• Lead safety and production meetings and schedule resources.
• Ensure materials are available and overtime is planned as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in area of responsibility.
