Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of relevant heavy-manufacturing or fabrication supervisory experience.
• Proven experience supervising union skilled trades in welding, fitting, stress-relief, lifting/handling, or heavy fabrication operations within a complex production setting.
• Strong technical background in welding processes, fitting, heavy fabrication methods, and multi-team coordination across multiple buildings or work centers.
• Ability to work autonomously within established practices, exercising sound judgment to resolve operational and technical issues with limited precedent.
• Motivated to support production teams, proactively identify issues, and drive timely resolution.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing employees and leaders of diverse backgrounds and generations.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and develop union hourly skilled trades employees in fitting, welding, assembly, stress-relief, lifting/handling, and related fabrication processes.
• Manage the daily activities of multiple production teams, ensuring alignment with schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
• Provide leadership continuity across shifts by establishing production plans, coordinating work execution, and preparing downstream teams for successful follow-through.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities across multiple buildings, work centers, and product lines to meet production goals.
• Oversee manual, automatic, and robotic welding operations, ensuring adherence to specifications, procedures, and process controls.
