Job summary

Virginia Beach Sports Center is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage Team Member to deliver quality service and consistent offerings in our casual dining areas. This part-time, non-exempt role reports to the Food & Beverage Manager and supports peak periods, events, and guest experience.

Responsibilities include cash handling, operating POS systems, maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, and assisting with event setups and party rentals. Weekend work and physical tasks are required.

Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must be able to work weekends.
Prior experience operating a cash register and balancing a cash drawer.
Ability to communicate in a positive, friendly manner with patrons.
One year of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with outstanding customer service.
Operate an electronic cash register and credit card machine.
Balance drawer and manage daily income.
Clean dining and food & beverage areas and tables; assist in preparing and serving food items; fill condiment containers.
Take and record temperature of food to ensure proper temperature controls in the transportation of food.
Assist in unloading, lifting, and carrying food and supplies from trucks and storage areas, and place them in designated areas.
Assist in party rentals: Guest check-in, party supplies and set-up, cleaning of cabanas and shelters.
All other duties as assigned by management.
