Job summary

Virginia Beach Sports Center is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeping team member to join our facilities management team. This role focuses on cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting spaces, restrooms, and public areas, with a commitment to guest comfort and safety.

The position is part-time, non-exempt, with flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred, and high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping/janitorial preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required or working towards it.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts.
• Ability to follow directions and stay organized.
• Attention to detail and reliability.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds when needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide information and wayfinding as needed.
• Perform general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed.
• Monitor for spills throughout the facility and clean as needed.
• Clean all floor surfaces and glass in facility.
• Clean and maintain all bathrooms (toilets, sinks, floors, restock supplies, etc.).
• Clean all guest seating and lobby area.
• Facility trash & recycles removal.
• Complete special projects, daily assignments and other duties as directed by management.
• Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and provide answers/directions as needed.
