Job summary

The Cleveland Guardians are seeking part-time Event Security for weekend shifts at Progressive Field in Cleveland, OH. You will help keep fans safe and deliver friendly service during home games.

Candidates must be 18+, complete required training, and be able to join SEIU Local 1. Weekend availability is essential, with 53 of 81 home games per year.

This role emphasizes security presence at gates, crowd management, and reporting incidents, in a fast-paced ballpark environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Training: 8 hours security/anti-terrorism in year one, plus minimum 4 hours annually.
• Must be able to join SEIU Local 1.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure and welcoming environment for fans, visitors, and teammates at Progressive Field.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, providing directions, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
• Ensure visible security presence at entry/exit gates, ballpark areas, team shops, and restricted zones.
• Monitor and secure restricted locations to prevent unauthorized access.
• Greet guests warmly on entry and exit and assist with movement as needed.
• Respond to conflicts, medical incidents, and other events, completing reports promptly.
• Enforce Progressive Field policies and follow the SOP handbook.
• Participate in pre-event briefings and communicate schedule conflicts to management.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform requirements.
• Adhere to all Major League Baseball and Club policies.
