Job summary

The Cleveland Guardians are seeking an on-site Security Guard at Progressive Field who will safeguard guests, enforce policies, and deliver outstanding customer service during home games.

Responsibilities include screening and credential verification, crowd management, incident reporting, and proactive engagement with fans. The role requires reliability for long hours, weekends, and holidays, and a strong commitment to safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Twelve (12) hours of security and anti-terrorism training during the first year of work, and a minimum of eight (8) hours of training each year thereafter.
• Working knowledge of safety and security functions, customer service philosophies, and conflict de-escalation and resolution principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and friendly environment for fans, visitors, and staff at Progressive Field.
• Provide exceptional customer service and actively engage with guests to answer questions and resolve complaints.
• Demonstrate a professional demeanor at all times.
• Provide crowd management and assist with crowd movement as necessary.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and complete appropriate reports.
• Verify credentials at restricted access locations and prohibit unauthorized entry.
• Adhere to Progressive Field policies and procedures and the Game Day Staff Seasonal Handbook.
