Job summary

RMHC West Michigan is seeking a Weekend/Evening Family Services Coordinator. This part-time, non-exempt role covers weekend and evening shifts to maintain a welcoming, safe, and clean house for families of hospitalized children.

Primary duties include guest services, facilities, meal planning, and volunteer coordination. Responsibilities span guest relations, occupancy management, emergencies, and routine housekeeping, with regular staff trainings and meetings.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional experience preferred.
• Experience with household or hospitality management, environmental services, or human services preferred.
• Willingness to be contacted off duty in emergencies.
• Ability to meet hospital and partner requirements (vaccinations, health screenings, safety protocols).

Responsibilities

• Guest Services: be visible and approachable; process guest requests promptly.
• Identify special family situations; notify Mission Services Director and deescalate when needed.
• Perform clerical duties: shift notes, family paperwork, data entry, roster updates.
• Assist occupancy management: room turnover, check-ins/outs, orientation, recordkeeping.
• Support evening meals and pantry inventory; monitor supplies for replenishment.
• Supervise weekend volunteers under the Mission Services Director.
• Facilities: execute emergency procedures; report damages; maintain security and cleanliness.
• General: follow RMHC West Michigan policies; attend staff meetings; support team efforts.
• Perform other duties; stay organized, reliable, and able to work with diverse populations.
