Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN will deliver care to emergent and critical patients, participate in didactic learning, and use a state-of-the-art simulation lab to strengthen ED skills. This full-time role is weekends-only, with 12-hour day shifts, typically 7:00 p.m.

Friday to 7:30 a.m. Monday. Applicants must have an Associate’s degree in Nursing, a CT RN license, and ER experience;

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• One or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage in didactic learning sessions designed to enhance your understanding of Emergency Department (ED) nursing, with a focus on utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation lab.
• Apply critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity and complex patients effectively.
• Pursue certification as a trauma nurse, with opportunities for professional growth in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
