Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, part of Trinity Health, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for its Emergency Department. The role entails night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), 36 hours per week, every third weekend, and rotating holidays.

The ED is a Level III Trauma unit with 27 beds serving the local community. We value work-life balance, professional growth, and teamwork while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• ASN required, BSN preferred.
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware.
• Previous ER and/or Acute Care experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS within 6 months of employment

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Assist the emergent patient and document accordingly on Emergency Room nursing tool.
• Identify patient needs based on objective data and follow through with documentation.
• Implement appropriate Nursing actions to each patient that needs to be identified.
• Make decisions reflecting knowledge and sound judgment.
• Discuss with patient/family about planned patient care and outcomes and document.
• Utilize multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of patient care.
