Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT, part of Trinity Health, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This part-time role offers an evening shift (11:00 am to 11:00 pm) with rotating weekends/holidays and specialty pay for experienced ED nurses.

The RN will engage in didactic ED learning, use a state-of-the-art simulation lab, apply critical thinking to high-acuity patients, and pursue trauma nursing certification in a Level 1 Trauma Center

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing required
• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• One+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) preferred
• ACLS and TNCC certification (support available post-hire)

This role is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training through Emergency Room Nursing. Candidates must be able to function independently in the Emergency Room

Position Highlights

• Part-Time: 24 hrs/week – Evening Shift - 11:00 am to 11:00 pm

• Rotating weekends and holidays

• Specialty pay available for experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience

• Hourly position, included in RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95
