Job summary

Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department on a full-time night shift to deliver care to emergent and critical patients.

The RN will participate in simulation-based learning, apply critical thinking for high-acuity cases, and pursue trauma nursing certification with growth opportunities in a Level 2 Trauma Center; rotation weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• One year of Emergency Room nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Engage in didactic learning sessions to enhance ED nursing skills with a state-of-the-art simulation lab.
• Apply critical thinking to manage high-acuity and complex patients effectively.
• Pursue certification as a trauma nurse, with opportunities for growth in a Level 2 Trauma Center.
