Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha, NE is seeking a friendly, patient-focused ED greeter for Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00am to 3:30pm. You will welcome patients, visitors and staff, guide them to services, and help with basic information and directions within the Emergency Department.

This role supports ED operations, coordinates with healthcare teams, and assists with transport to admitting or other departments.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service and patient-facing experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read computer-generated reports and use a computer.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, employees and visitors in the Emergency Department with professionalism.
• Provide directions and information to locate clinical services and meetings.
• Coordinate with ED staff for incoming surgical patients and alert surgeons as needed.
• Transport patients and family members to Admitting for registration and other locations.
• Handle routine communications, telephone messages and written notices clearly.
• Perform other duties to support admitting services and training of staff.
