Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha, NE is seeking a Hospital Reception/Transporter for the Emergency Department. Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, 3:30pm to 9:00pm. You will greet patients, employees, visitors, and provide direction and information while ensuring smooth flow.

This role requires good communication, the ability to transport patients to Admitting and other locations, and the willingness to assist with training and new procedures to support admitting services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; 16 years of age minimum.
• Previous customer service in a healthcare setting and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, employees, and others in the Emergency Department in a professional manner.
• Provides direction and information regarding location of clinical services and general needs.
• Coordinates with Emergency Department staff for incoming patients and escorts them to appropriate locations.
