Job summary

Achieving True Self is seeking an Employment Specialist to provide job-readiness and vocational coaching for adults and transition-age students with autism and other disabilities in the South Hills area. The role focuses on preparing clients for sustainable employment and coordinating with employers.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 2–3 years of relevant experience, PA driver’s license, and ACRe certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; higher degrees preferred.
• 2–3 years working with neurodiverse individuals preferred.
• PA driver’s license with proof of insurance and good record.
• ACRE certification within 6 months of employment.
• Clearances: FBI, PA Child Abuse (Act 33) and PA Criminal (Act 34).
• CPR certification at hire; training if CPR not valid.
• Comfort using iPad/tablet and basic Windows/Google tools.

Responsibilities

• Build a strong therapeutic rapport with clients.
• Prepare adults and students for employment aligned with abilities.
• Schedule services and meetings within program timelines.
• Document sessions and outcomes in program tools.
• Provide direct training, support, and coaching in settings.
• Lead job shadow opportunities and Paid Work Experience sessions.
• Transport clients to interviews or sites as needed.
• Coordinate with employers and perform outreach.
• Maintain documentation for billing and reporting.
• Uphold ATS mission and values.
