Job summary

Achieving True Self is seeking an Employment Specialist for weekend work in the South Hills area of Allegheny County, PA. The role focuses on job-readiness and vocational coaching for adults and transition-age students with autism and related disabilities, helping them obtain competitive integrated employment.

The position offers benefits, training, and support to grow within ATS’s mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Special Education, or related field strongly preferred.
• ACRE certification required within 6 months of employment.
• Driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide job-readiness and vocational coaching to adults and transition-age students with autism/neurodivergent needs and other disabilities.
• Prepare clients for sustainable career opportunities and assist in obtaining competitive integrated employment.
• Document sessions and outcomes using program tools and maintain required logs and reports.
• Travel with clients to interviews or worksites as needed and collaborate with employers, coworkers, and supports.
