Job summary

On-the-job training is provided; a strong focus on quality and safety is required to support critical mission workloads. Responsibilities include soldering to IPC-J-STD guidelines, reading diagrams, and using microscopes for precision work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Performs various production assembly operations on components and subassemblies, and other complex duties as assigned.
• Uses visual aids, drawings and verbal and written instruction to assemble, modify, re-work or re-assemble units.
• Receives detailed instruction on new assignments.
• Identify component values and read schematics to assemble PCB subassemblies.
• Solder various electronic components following IPC-J-Std standards; may solder under a microscope.
• Maintain IPC-J-STD certification and adhere to safety and quality requirements.
• Read and interpret customer, engineer drawings or visual aids and implement call outs onto assembly.
