Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking an Electrical Controls Technician for Plant 3 on a 3rd shift. The role focuses on PLC/HMI systems, controls, and equipment optimization to support the Plant Engineering team.

Requirements include an associate degree in electrical disciplines or 3+ years in related work, or 10+ years in PLC control systems. On-site work in Whitehall, MI with opportunities to collaborate with contractors.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electrical Technology / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Technology / Mechatronics and a minimum of 3 years in equipment build/maintenance or manufacturing.
OR a minimum of 10 years of experience in equipment build/maintenance and PLC control systems.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise in controls systems, equipment reliability, and capital improvement initiatives.
Troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems and support manufacturing operations across the facility.
Collaborate with Plant Engineering, Skilled Trades, and external contractors.
