Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five years hands-on experience in a mechanical/maintenance environment.
• Associates degree or completion of an apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in maintenance, HVAC, equipment installation, fabrication and welding, hydraulics and pneumatics, or plumbing systems.
• Good mechanical aptitude and blueprint reading abilities.
• Energetic, self-starter, able to promote change, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in teams or independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facility Engineers with completion of capital projects.
• Install, move, or modify plant equipment.
• Procurement of repair parts, spare parts, or raw materials as needed.
• Update or create new schematics and drawings.
• Provide technical assistance to maintenance staff for repairs and modifications.
• Create and implement preventative maintenance and repair procedures.
• Training on a weekday schedule before transitioning to the weekend crew (three 12-hour shifts).
