Job summary

Palomar Health seeks an experienced ED Tech for the Weekend Only Worker Program. You will provide patient care in the Emergency Department under the direction of the RN, ensuring a safe and confidential environment.

You will also transcribe orders and coordinate admission, discharge, and transfer activities as part of a collaborative team. The role requires English proficiency, a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS/CPR certification within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or as certification dictates.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification within 6 months of hire (EMT/Paramedic preferred).
• Minimum 6 months related experience; 1–2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document care in the Emergency Department under RN supervision.
• Transcribe physician orders and coordinate admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Collaborate with team to ensure resources for internal/external customers.
• Read and speak English proficiently to perform essential functions.
