Job summary

Palomar Health is seeking a Night Shift Emergency Room staff member for a 12-hour schedule. You will provide and document patient care under the supervision of the RN, and you will transcribe physician orders and coordinate admission, discharge and transfer activities to ensure safe, efficient patient flow.

Proficiency in English is required; bilingual Spanish speakers are preferred. Strong computer skills (Windows, MS Office) and adherence to Palomar Health policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English required; bilingual Spanish speakers preferred.
• Familiarity with basic office software (Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide and document patient care in the Emergency Department under RN direction.
• Transcribe physician orders and coordinate admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
• Participate as a team member to ensure appropriate resources for internal/external customers.
• Speak and read English well enough to perform essential functions and follow Palomar Health policies.
