Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a dock operations coordinator for a weekend shift in Union City, GA. The role focuses on managing loading/unloading dock activities, coordinating trailer movements, and ensuring adherence to safety and process standards.

The ideal candidate will have warehouse/dock experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. A collaborative, safety-driven mindset and proficiency with MS Office 365 and Google Suite are valued assets

Qualifications

Experience in warehouse, dock, yard or transportation environments.
Ability to coordinate dock/yards in fast-paced settings.
Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to follow defined safety standards and escalation protocols.
Strong communication for internal/external stakeholders.
Proficiency with MS Office 365 and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

Champion operation safety and support dock equipment as required.
Coordinate loading/unloading dock activities and trailer movements.
Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow with knowledge of trailer anatomy.
Monitor dock conditions and stop work when unsafe; escalate as needed.
Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer teams to prioritize tasks.
Communicate professionally with stakeholders and maintain customer service focus.
Ensure dock activities align with guidelines, standards, and SWIs.
