Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator to lead dock operations at our Union City, GA facility.

You will coordinate trailer movements, ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading, and collaborate with operations, safety, and customer teams to meet daily priorities. Ideal candidates bring warehouse or dock experience, strong communication, and a proven ability to follow processes and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, dock, yard, or transportation environments.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in fast-paced operations.
• Knowledge of trailer docking and release procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong adherence to safety standards and escalation procedures.
• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and dock equipment as required.
• Coordinate loading and unloading dock activities to support daily priorities.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow.
• Monitor dock conditions and stop-work when unsafe; follow escalation procedures.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer teams.
• Maintain professional communication with stakeholders.
• Ensure dock activities align with process guidelines and SWIs.
• Support dock and yard organization per 7S standards.
• Conduct regular visual inspections and identify risks or delays.
• Use MS Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage and operational support to site leadership and peers.
