Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a weekend dispatcher to coordinate driver workloads and resolve issues affecting pickups and deliveries.

You will monitor trips, communicate with drivers and customers, and help maintain on-time performance in a fast-paced environment. Under routine supervision, you will support safe operations, document detention times, and collaborate with fleet maintenance to keep equipment ready.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and interpret ideas through various mediums.
• Ability to meet driver needs and provide excellent service.
• Ability to work with diverse individuals and adapt to a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor loads assigned to drivers and resolve issues affecting pickup/delivery times.
• Maintain documentation of detention time for accurate on-time pay.
• Support safety culture and enforce DOT and company policies.
• Communicate professionally with drivers and customers by phone and system messages.
• Coordinate with fleet maintenance to ensure vehicle readiness.
