Job summary

The Direct Support Professional at Friendship Community Care works with an interdisciplinary team to provide high quality care in the home and community setting, assisting clients with daily living activities and monitoring plans of care.

This weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM) requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Arkansas driver’s license, and strong communication and documentation skills to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Arkansas Driver's License required.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Capability to maintain accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living skills (showers, dressing, housekeeping).
• Provide transportation to activities and appointments with a valid license.
• Maintain communication through logs and staff meetings.
• Complete required documentation (behavioral, incident, progress reports).
• Follow Medicaid guidelines for records and mileage/billing.
• Support Plan of Care and monitor health, safety, and security.
