Job summary

Friendship Community Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional for weekend shifts in Mt View, AR. You will work on an interdisciplinary team to support clients in home and community settings, performing daily tasks and coordinating activities from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Arkansas driver’s license for transportation and activity planning.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; two+ years' experience with developmentally disabled individuals preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively.
Mathematical/computer skills: basic arithmetic and budgeting concepts.
Ability to interpret instructions and work with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Assist clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks (e.g., showers, dressing, housekeeping, meals, budgeting).
Provide transportation to activities and appointments; valid Arkansas driver's license required.
Maintain clear communication about clients' needs and progress at shift end.
Complete required documentation (behavioral reports, incident reports, care sheets, etc.).
Follow Medicaid guidelines for records and vehicle maintenance.
Support Plan of Care and medication monitoring.
Organize recreational activities and model professional behavior.
Adhere to dress code and FCC policies, maintain confidentiality.
