Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide personal support for adults with developmental disabilities at a Baltimore residence. The role runs Saturdays and Sundays from 7am to 10pm, on-site, with a focus on engaging the person served and ensuring program goals are met.

You will supervise, train, and assist with daily living activities, while maintaining safety and dignity. Requires a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license, plus CPR knowledge and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Commitment to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.
• Must have a driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Work in the residence of a person served as personal support, ensuring programs and activities are carried out in home and community.
• Provide supervision and training to adults with developmental disabilities to promote growth toward their highest potential.
• Teach and instruct people served to do as much as possible for themselves according to program plans.
• Communicate concerns related to the person served needs to the Community Support Manager promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the home and assist with daily living tasks.
