Job summary

ELEVATE CCBHC is seeking a Direct Support Professional for the Intensive Residential Support Home. The DSP will provide daily support, help with daily living tasks, and assist with medication administration as needed.

The role operates 24/7 with weekend 3rd shift coverage (Saturday & Sunday 8pm-8am). Responsibilities include maintaining client safety, documenting activities, supporting goal implementation, and coordinating with the Program Manager.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• At least one year’s experience working with individuals with a mental illness or multiple conditions.
• Medication manager or certified medication aide preferred (will be required to be trained).
• Experience supporting individuals who experience problem behaviors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat all clients with dignity, respect, and value.
• Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing of clients on your shift.
• Report allegations of client abuse to the Program Manager.
• Complete trainings and orientations within the period specified by the Program Manager.
• Complete all required documentation on your shift (service documentation, data sheets, incident reports, MAR).
• Support clients with implementation of their personal goals and objectives.
• Provide supervision and assistance with informal supports (cooking, cleaning, laundry, meals, shopping, hygiene).
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Administer medications timely and document in MAR (if certified).
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of client information.
• Implement client behavior intervention plans when warranted.
• Report unsafe home conditions to the Program Manager.
• Report changes in clients' condition or family situation to the Program Manager.
• Accompany clients to appointments and transport them as needed.
• Other duties as requested by the Program Manager.
