ASG Home Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide in-home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities in Hackettstown, New Jersey. The role entails assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and skill development on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 10 am to 3 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Degree in a related field (e.g., Special Education, Psychology) preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderate physical activity.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to clients with developmental disabilities in homes, communities, and out-of-home settings.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Encourage and support clients in developing daily living skills, social skills, and independence.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress, including daily logs and incident reports.
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized service plans.
