Job summary
ASG Home Care is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings in New Jersey. You will work one-on-one following each person's ISP to promote independence and daily living success.
The role offers flexible day/evening/weekend shifts, consistent cases near your home, and a supportive management team with onboarding.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Prior caregiving, DSP, or human services experience preferred but not required.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to make a difference.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation
- Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client's ISP
- Document services accurately and communicate with the care team
- Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support
