Job summary

ASG Home Care in Hackettstown, New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This part-time role involves weekend shifts (Saturday, Sunday, Monday 10 am–3 pm) in clients’ homes and communities.

You will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and collaborate with therapists and nurses to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in homes, communities, and out-of-home settings.
Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
Encourage and support clients in developing daily living skills, social skills, and independence.
Maintain accurate records of client progress, including daily logs and incident reports.
Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized service plans.
