Job summary

Ameriwell Care is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a Weekday Afternoons schedule. You will support an adult with IDD, meet them at the day program, accompany them home, and provide steady supervision until their mother returns from work.

You should be caring, patient, and reliable, with access to transportation and a valid driver’s license. Prior IDD experience is preferred, and strong communication is essential for coordinating with the family and team.

Job Summary:

Ameriwell Care is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a wonderful adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in providing caring supervision and support to help our individual thrive.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
• 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
• 10 hours per week

About the Role:

Your day will begin by meeting the individual at their day program, accompanying them home, and providing caring supervision and support until their mother arrives home from work. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent afternoon schedule that makes a meaningful difference in someone's life.

Responsibilities:

• Pick up the individual from their day program
• Safely accompany them home
• Provide companionship and supervision
• Assist with daily routines as needed
• Help create a calm, positive, and supportive environment
• Ensure the individual's safety until family arrives

• Caring, patient, and dependable
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Experience supporting individuals with IDD is preferred, but we will train the right person
• Excellent communication skills
