Help at Home is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide one‑on‑one support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities during weekend shifts in Natchez, MS. Starting pay ranges from $14 to $16 per hour, with weekly pay, paid training, and opportunities for career growth.

As a DSP, you will teach daily living skills, encourage independence, and support community participation while upholding dignity and self‑advocacy.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work part‑time weekend shifts.
• Successful completion of a background check and required training.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance, either primary or secondary coverage.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in individuals’ homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals develop daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and other personal care activities.
• Provide hands‑on assistance based on individual needs while encouraging independence.
• Provide transportation and support participation in shopping, social events, and community activities.
• Help individuals work toward personal goals and recognize their progress.
• Promote personal choice, independence, and self‑advocacy.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, activities, and progress.
• Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
