Job summary

Help at Home is seeking caring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities on weekend shifts in Magee, MS. The role offers weekly pay, paid training, and opportunities for career growth while making a meaningful community impact.

As a DSP, you will help individuals build daily living skills, promote independence, and support goals with dignity and self-advocacy.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Availability to work part-time weekend shifts.
Successful completion of a background check and required training.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
Ability to work safely and respectfully in individuals’ homes and communities.
Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

Help individuals develop daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and other personal care activities.
Provide hands-on assistance based on individual needs while encouraging independence.
Provide transportation and support participation in shopping, social events, and community activities.
Help individuals work toward personal goals and recognize their progress.
Promote personal choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
Maintain accurate documentation of care, activities, and progress.
Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
