Job summary

Help at Home, a national leader in in-home support, is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Mississippi. As a DSP, you’ll provide one-on-one assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities to support independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background check and required training.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients' homes and communities.
• Compassion and reliability with a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings.
• Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and transportation.
• Encourage participation in social and community activities.
• Help individuals achieve personal goals and celebrate progress.
• Promote choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Document care, activities, and progress; communicate with team for quality support.
