Job summary

The Center for Disability Services is seeking a Weekend Warrior Direct Support Professional (Float) to support our Residential Programs in the Capital Region and North Country of New York. This role promotes independence and quality of daily care for individuals with developmental disabilities in a dynamic, goal‑oriented team setting.

Responsibilities include implementing staff action plans, documenting care, and remaining flexible to work at multiple residential locations as needs change.

Qualifications

• First Aid, CPR, SCIP-R and OPWDD Medication Administration Certification required within 90 days.
• NYS Driver's License required within 90 days of employment.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of related experience preferred, especially with individuals with developmental disabilities or working in nursing home or home care settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing all elements of staff action plans and complete associated documentation.
• Promote independence, community inclusion, individualization and productivity while respecting the persons supported personal choice, lifestyles and dignity to take informed risks.
• Must be flexible to work at any residential location as program and staffing needs change on a day to day basis.
