Job summary

The Sands Point Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Port Washington, NY is seeking a Weekend Dietary Supervisor to lead the dietary team and ensure top-quality patient meal service.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with the Food Service Director, enforce food safety and HIPAA compliance, and maintain a clean, efficient kitchen and dining area while delivering compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a dietary setting, preferably in a long-term care or healthcare facility.
• Associate's degree in a related field (diploma or certificate in food service management or nutrition).
• Possess a strong understanding of dietary practices, food safety standards, and department operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dietary staff and the meal service to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Coordinate with the Food Service Director to supervise the dietary department operations.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and HIPAA compliance in daily activities.
• Oversee tray line, dining room service, and meal preparation.
• Train and evaluate dietary staff under supervision.
• Conduct daily inspections and participate in quality improvement activities.
