Job summary

Sands Point Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Port Washington, New York, is seeking a Dietary Aide to serve 3 meals daily to residents, keep the kitchen and dining areas clean, and collaborate with staff across departments.

Responsibilities include meal preparation and service per menus, maintaining sanitary conditions, and interacting with residents and families. A positive attitude and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting or related field.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and adapt to changing priorities.
• Compliance with dress code requirements.
• Background checks will be completed prior to employment.
• TB test and Physical within the last year, and HEP B Shot, Covid Vaccination required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals for patients and staff in accordance with menus and sanitary standards.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and dining areas during and after meals.
• Interact with other department staff, patients, and families.
• Maintain high standards for work areas and appearance.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule is helpful.
