Job summary

Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital is seeking a part-time Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound studies, consult with physicians, and educate patients. The role supports weekend hours (7:00am–7:30pm) within the Weekender Flex Program, with eligibility for part-time benefits and full-time tuition reimbursement.

The ideal candidate will be RDMS/ARRT-certified on hire or have equivalent credentials, with BLS required and a minimum of graduate from an accredited Sonography

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and in good standing.
• RDMS certification (or ARRT RT(S)/RT(VS)) upon hire with additional certs within 18 months.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic sonographic imaging using high-frequency sound waves for all ages.
• Perform ultrasound studies (OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular, pediatric, etc.).
• Consult with referring physicians on patient history and procedure selection.
• Review charts and requisitions before exams.
• Educate patients about procedures and equipment.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during exams.
• Assist with scheduling and prioritize daily ultrasound cases.
• Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS.
• Report equipment malfunctions to help desk/PACS admin.
• Process billing via RIS.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

RDMS/ARRT certification upon hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
