Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) seeks a Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic quality imaging under physician direction, while upholding radiation safety standards and delivering excellent patient care.

In this on-site role in LVPG-L Clinical Imaging - LVOI, you will acquire images, ensure proper exposure factors, document procedures, and assist in training new staff, with a focus on teamwork, accuracy and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of a radiography program and technical school diploma.
• Must maintain patient confidentiality and handle medical information ethically.
• Familiarity with radiation producing equipment and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and imaging workflows.

Responsibilities

• Produces diagnostic-quality images and prepares them for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintains radiation safety and uses proper exposure factors, collimation, and positioning.
• Ensures the correct exam is ordered and attached to the patient record.
• Documents required data such as documentation, history, and CPT codes.
• Ensures images have transferred to PACS before study completion.
• Coordinates daily work duties within the imaging team.
• Assists in education and training of new staff and students.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the work area.
