Job summary

Raytheon in Andover, MA, is hiring a 5th Shift Deposition Process Support Engineer to support gallium arsenide, gallium nitride, and III-V focal plane array fabrication in the RF Microelectronics/Module Design & Foundry Services group. The role requires microelectronics processing knowledge and floor- based problem solving.

The candidate will work on deposition-related processes, train manufacturing personnel, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize rework and maximize throughput

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required.
• A minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years in semiconductor processing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance; US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Process wafers to create FETs, MMICs, and FPAs in a cleanroom environment.
• Provide engineering support and training for manufacturing personnel.
• Review lots and wafers; disposition when needed; support tool/process qualification efforts.
• Perform failure analysis of tools and processes; look to reduce rework and scrap.
• Communicate with manufacturing personnel, equipment teams, and leads to ensure resources and rapid issue resolution.
