University of Alabama in Huntsville is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to lead custodial staff on the Weekend Shift (Fri–Sun). You will oversee cleaning operations across campus facilities, train staff, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Strong supervisory experience and knowledge of cleaning protocols are essential. The role requires a high school diploma, 5+ years in supervision, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of current cleaning practices and disinfectants.
• Certification in blood-borne pathogen cleanup within 6 months.
• Leadership, communication, motivation, and coaching skills.
• Familiarity with supervisory laws/regulations.

Responsabilités

• Handle housekeeping requests timely and professionally; ensure cleaning methods and materials used promote the long life of all floor surfaces and fixtures.
• Direct and schedule monthly/quarterly cleaning projects; maintain records of custodial supplies and equipment.
• Perform building audits; watch for and promptly report areas needing custodial or maintenance attention.
• Instruct employees in proper custodial methods and training; inspect work and provide coaching.
• Assist leadership in interviewing, training, evaluating personnel; payroll records and attendance.
• Ensure building security by locking and unlocking doors and gates.
