Job summary

UAH Facilities & Operations is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to lead custodial staff across a weekend shift (Friday–Sunday). You will direct daily tasks, train staff, perform audits, and ensure high cleaning standards across 90+ buildings and 500 acres.

The role requires at least five years in a supervisory role, a valid driver's license, and knowledge of cleaning practices. Proficiency in MS Office and hazard awareness is preferred; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of full-time verifiable related work experience in a supervisory position.
• Must be a regular driver as defined in the UAH Vehicle Safety Management Program, with a valid driver's license and acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Handle housekeeping requests promptly; ensure cleaning methods extend surface life of floors and fixtures.
• Direct and schedule monthly/quarterly custodial projects; maintain records of supplies and equipment.
• Perform building audits and report areas needing attention.
• Instruct and train custodial staff; inspect work and provide coaching for improvement.
• Assist leadership in interviewing, training, evaluating performance, payroll, attendance, and personnel issues.
• Ensure building security by controlling doors and gates.
