Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Cook to prepare meals per approved menus while considering residents' dietary needs. The cook may supervise dietary staff in the Dining Services Director's absence and ensure operations run smoothly in the kitchen.

The role requires dining services experience, ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days), and strong attention to safety and portion control. You will work as part of a compassionate team in a senior living environment.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• ServSafe certified or willing to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
• Basic math for portion control and recipe reading.
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to standard recipes.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area and follow safety practices.
• Monitor temperatures and document twice daily; assist in training staff.
• In the absence of the Dining Services Director, supervise dietary staff.
