Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Lead Cook to prepare meals per approved menus, supervise dietary staff, and ensure safety and sanitation in a senior living kitchen. You will train staff, monitor temperatures, and help manage dietary needs for residents.

The role requires strong leadership, Serv-Safe certification, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to dietary guidelines, and consistent quality in a high-demand

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a cook, preferably in senior living fine dining.
• Leadership experience required.
• Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations.
• Basic understanding of food service operations and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to standard recipes.
• Assist with training and supervision of dietary staff.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dining Services Director and Dining Services Supervisor.
• Record food temperatures three times daily and monitor safety practices.
• Ensure proper cooling, storage, labeling and dating of leftovers.
