Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook to join our team. You will cook and prepare a variety of foods according to recipes and guidelines, set up workstation, measure and prep ingredients, operate ovens and equipment, and ensure food safety and sanitation.

You should have prior cooking experience, knowledge of food safety regs, be able to obtain food safety certification, and demonstrate basic math and strong communication. This role may involve standing for long periods and lifting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses various cooking methods.
• Maintains food safety and sanitation and stores food properly.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Provides excellent customer service with a positive demeanor.
• Adheres to safety policies and ensures security of assets.
