Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Weekend Controls Technician in Kansas City, KS, working Friday–Sunday 6:00am–6:00pm to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems on production equipment.

The role involves Allen-Bradley PLC work, EAM documentation, motor and drive setup, and collaboration with CEPG for machine improvements. Benefits include health insurance from day one, paid time off, and a $5,000 sign‑on bonus.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a closely related role.
• Associate’s degree in a technical-related field.
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Observe equipment to detect hazards, problems and the need for service or replacement of components.
• Proficient in ladder logic programming with Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500/5000.
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the EAM system (work order system).
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Set up servo controls and variable frequency drive operations.
