Job summary

Faxon Machining, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH seeks a CNC Mill-Turn Operator for the weekend 2nd shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 5pm–5am). You will operate and monitor multi-tasking CNC equipment that combines turning and milling, load parts, and maintain production records.

The role requires reading blueprints, GD&T familiarity, and the ability to work safely in a noisy shop. Training provided; strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or six months of machining experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn CNC multi-tasking equipment.
• Ability to read shop drawings and basic machining dimensions; GD&T is a plus.
• Familiarity with MAZATROL and/or Doosan/FANUC-style CNC controls.
• Safety-conscious with attention to detail and reliability.
• Teamwork and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mill-turn machines for turning, milling, drilling, and related operations.
• Read blueprints, operation drawings, setup sheets, and inspection plans.
• Load/unload material and verify part seating with fixtures and chucks.
• Monitor machine functions and tool conditions; manage multi-axis movements.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections and document results.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Support setup personnel during changeovers and troubleshoot as needed.
