Faxon Machining is seeking a skilled CNC Large Lathe Machinist for 2nd shift (5:00pm-3:30am, M-F) in Cincinnati, OH. You will set up and operate large CNC lathes, reading blueprints and maintaining tight tolerances with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC lathe machining experience preferred.
• Experience with large diameter turning is strongly preferred.
• Ability to safely handle large, heavy components and materials.
• Solid understanding of blueprints, GD&T and engineering terms.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate large CNC lathes to produce precision components.
• Create setup sheets and tooling/workholding details.
• Write or edit CNC programs and support process optimization.
• Read drawings and CAD data to develop programs with Mastercam.
• Ensure tolerances to tight limits and maintain quality standards.
• Communicate status and issues to shop floor teams promptly.
