Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a CNA.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a CNA or clinical experience during CNA certification.
• Desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors and the public.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, and relate to residents at their current maturity level.
• Must be in good health and emotionally stable.
• Able to relate to ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and hostile individuals in the facility.

Aufgaben

• Make resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and every two hours thereafter to provide quality nursing care.
• Verify resident identification before administering care or serving meals to ensure correct care.
• Report missing ID bands to the admission coordinator promptly.
• Make beds and clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned and filled with fresh drinking water within the resident's reach.
• Perform other duties as directed by Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator.
